The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers took care of business on April 27 to set up a rematch with the Antigonish Bulldogs in the Don Johnson Memorial Cup final on April 28 in Mount Pearl, N.L.The Vipers defeated the host Mount Pearl Blades 6-2 in one of two semifinal games. Antigonish downed Newfoundland and Labrador’s St. John’s Caps 9-0 in the other semifinal.In the 2023 Don Johnson Memorial Cup gold-medal game in Liverpool, N.S.

The Vipers were looking to win their third regional title in franchise history. Kensington previously won in 2011 in Montague, P.E.I., and 2013 in Moncton, N.B. In a meaningless round-robin finale for the Vipers on April 26, the Nova Scotia-champion Bulldogs defeated Kensington 4-3 in overtime on April 26. Kensington completed round-robin play 2-1-1 while the Bulldogs were 3-0-1.

Max Chisholm , Brett Ballum and Carson MacDougall also scored while Reese Wyand , William Smith , Colby MacDonald and Duncan Picketts chipped in with single helpers.
