P.E.I. Islanders drop two close games to Chatham Ironmen | SaltWire

The Ironmen scored a single run in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 6-5 walk-off victory in Game 1 and rallied for six runs in their final two at-bats to post a 6-4 victory in the second contest. Nick Leggett pitched a complete game to earn the victory. Leggett’s line read two earned runs, eight hits, two walks and four strikeouts.

Ethan Francis was the pitcher of record for the Islanders. Francis pitched six innings and gave up three earned runs, six hits, one walk and finished with 11 strikeouts. Jake Beck allowed three earned runs, three hits and one walk in one inning of work.
