He was responsible for putting an inexperienced driver behind the wheel of that semi. He has untimate responsibility for the accident. At the very least aiding and abetting.
Everybody here saying the owner shouldn't be allowed to run a business anymore, he didn't crash the truck. He was fined for minor safety issues like not keeping a daily log book. Those things didn't cause a fatal accident. At most they would have caused a truck to break down.
Where’s the justice? Friggin dude stabs tennis player and gets 8 years. These asshats responsible for 16 deaths and numerous life long injuries and they get off the same. Tennis start is playing again BTW
wow that is discusting but everything to do with our judicial system in canada is a joke too many to-day are bought and paid for
Yet the driver, an inexperienced truck driver, ran a stop sign killed 16 people injuring many more and just got 8 years...when does he get deported? At the end of his sentence
$5000? Oh my, l'm sure he learned his lesson!!!!!
Guilty of aiding, abetting manslaughter! His business licence should be forfeit! $5000 fine is pathetic, and tacit approval of his lack of care/training! No Justice in Canada!
Excuse me? $5000?
The families should sue this man in private court for failing to follow the law and for being negligent.
What a Fn joke
It's disgusting to see how our government values life and the safety in the workplace. When so many lives where lost due to the fact of poor negligence and due diligence of private company. The Cdn gov should really over haul the Occupational laws in this country. Shameful.
Sad. Forget about opening a second company and running a truck when he was shut down.... along with other issues. But hey..... no problem right?
A 5000$ Fine. That's a bunch of bull. He should not be aloud to operate a trucking company.
$5,000.00 and he can still run his business?
