LONDON, Ont.—Outlaw drug trafficking groups became more inclusive as they pushed into smaller markets during the pandemic, a police press conference heard.
“Organized crime groups are interacting more than they ever have,” said Wade, head of the police Biker Enforcement Unit. “We’re seeing increased co-operation.” “When you’re looking to expand your customer base, you try to reflect your society,” said Det. Insp. Chris Cherney of the London Police Service.“Small communities across our province are being impacted by violent gang activity,” Wade said.
The club was dealt another blow when former London Outlaws president Ryan Daigneault was charged in 2017 for allegedly organizing a hit on a member of the longtime rival, Hells Angels. The charge was later withdrawn.
