In a decision dated Aug. 31, retired deputy chief Terence Kelly found that Mesic’s actions were an “embarrassment” to the Ottawa Police Service, but also that Mesic was remorseful and can reform as an officer. Kelly accepted a joint submission on penalty presented by Mesic’s defence and the service.
“I don’t care. I don’t care. Sell your kid. I don’t give a s–t. Make your wife do something,” Mesic said. “I guarantee you I’m going to spill blood.”“People for money, they kill right?” Mesic asked. Mesic told police that he “lost control” and “that he is well-known for saying ‘stupid s–t‘ that he should not say.”He was previously convicted of discreditable conduct and insubordination in 2009 for slapping a youth twice across the face during questioning, kicking him, grabbing his throat and forcing him to the ground.
Kelly said police officers “must be professional and ethical in everything they do” in order to maintain public trust and confidence. Mesic provided his disciplinary hearing officer with letters supporting him from fellow officers, members of the community and Crown prosecutors.
To serve and protect! Yeah!
Overpaid knuckle dragger protected by his union.
This is horrendous and I'd argue that he is not psychologically fit to be a police officer. But this highlights that not all landlords are villains and also suffet financial hardship. In a system that so heavily favours tenants this is the desperation that can be bread
Why isn't he being fired?
Why is he not being charged with uttering threats?
I heard that the officer offered to 'feed the tenant's fish'.
Wait, Ottawa has natural fish that eat humans? Where? I got a line of people who need a tour.
Well, gee, don't go too hard on him. 🙄
Someone should feed that bastard to fish carry a badge and a nine mill and you get away with anything
Cops were right,people are assholes
In his defence, he had probably watched the Godfather movie 🎥 the night before 🤓
He should have been fired and barred from law enforcement.
When did become anti police propaganda?
