Province’s emergency order gives employees until April 22 to comply with the ban on working in more than one facility

What are the coronavirus rules in my province? A quick guide to what’s allowed and open, or closed and banned

Sharleen Stewart, president of Services Employees International Union Healthcare, said about half of the union’s 25,000 members are working multiple jobs, including as personal support workers and housekeepers in seniors’ facilities. Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Williams, recommended in March that wherever possible, staff should be limited to working in one home. On Wednesday, he said that making such a measure mandatory is complex – even though the province has been aware of the issue since the SARS outbreak in 2003.

Choose MAID in early Alzheimer's. 70K a person in LTC buys lousy care. 150K a person buys lousy care - that's what it costs for one person at Participation House. People need to stop being so squeamish and think about society. Take my 70K and use it for something else.

The province says LTC workers can't work in different homes now but those workers did that because greedy LTC owners don't want to pay sick days or benefits for full time employees right? So how does this new policy help the poor workers who need ft hours?

So doctors and nurses will be taken from other sick ppl like cancer patients to go work in nursing homes because of staffing shortages because the province won't mandate decent wages, ft hours, sick pay or WSIB to protect these at risk workers? Am I right?

Ontario, Quebec revamp staffing at nursing homes amid ‘wildfire’ COVID-19 outbreakOntario follows B.C. lead and bans staff from working at multiple facilities; Quebec puts out call for volunteers, former caregivers Have workers live in the homes for 2 weeks at a time, or put them in hotel rooms 🤷🏼‍♀️ Government incompetence murdering Canadians. Start paying the employees of nursing homes relative to the service they are providing. These homes tend to be very much understaffed. That cannot continue if we want to protect the elderly and give them a reasonable standard of living and care.

Looks like Ontario was just behind Quebec in growth. Too bad. It would have been nice for this to not be the reality. Where is the peak ? Are we doing something wrong. I have only left the house for groceries in the past month. Oh yeah and to go fishing alone from shore alone. Graphs for Ontario 📈:

There is an old saying that goes, we have to prepare in land before setting out to Sea. Han? In this case they sure weren't prepared with anything. 🙏👈 Im glad Dr Williams broke down the case numbers - OVER 200 from the 494 new cases reported are from long term care homes. So, in the community the numbers are in the mid 200s. He said this will be confirmed but this seems to be a positive sign unless you're in long term care .
