Ontario Health Minister Sylvia Jones said the province has “not seen a mass exodus of nurses” leaving the profession – a remark some nurses say is “dismissive” and “painful” to hear.

. Soon after, the Ontario government released a statement expressing their intention to appeal the decision.

Just a couple weeks after pandemic lockdowns were enforced, she said she saw signals of how the health-care sector was being handled and decided she needed to leave and start her own business as a RN psychotherapist. “If we haven’t had a total collapse, it’s because of the dedication of the people that are still here,” she added.

She lies, just like ford, lecce, they are disgusting, insulting, pigs at the public trough. They are padding the pockets of builder friends while screwing Healthcare, Long Term Care and Efucation

Ofcourse, cause all nurses are heading south of the border for better pay and weather!

Are there stats on how many are retiring? With an aging population must be a factor.

Has she even walked a hall of any Ontario hospital? It is really bad right now.

People, there weren’t mass nurse firings because of the vaccine. If you don’t know the stats how about stop talking about them!?! Nurses, and other staff, are leaving because of burn out, being overworked and now most hospital are screwing with their overtime compensation.

Just look at this Disney W I T C H

A sphincter denies what

SylviaJonesMPP tells what she's told to say by fordnation , and most it is lies. Just like any boss, he gets others do his dirty work, so he thinks his hands are greasy clean.

Remove vaccine mandates. Remove masks, remove vaccine mandates for new hires. No more virtual, family drs see pts who have respiratory illnesses, stop testing for covid, get tylenol/motrin/advil/cough medicine on shelves....

“Mass firing” there fixed it

The face of a proud horse's ass.

Lift the vaccine requirement and they will come back. Full stop.

The absolute destruction of an entire Medical System happening (with intent) before OUR very eyes....

This lady has absolutely no comprehension about the actual runnings and workings of the day-to-day operations that front line health workers and patients go through. SylviaJonesMPP is totally inept. Stop saying everything is okay. Clearly it's not. Stop it.

I work in health care and the system and the nurses are stretched beyond limits 😔

Shame you people, patients are suffering at the emerg...omg...i experienced it today...awful...

She’s a disgrace & a puppet and I’m embarrassed she is originally from our riding

Its sweet justice. Forcing ppl to vaccinate to keep their job was an infringement on thier personal rights. Glad they left. You do what you gotta do. Replies ignored.

She is in denial.

I’m sure mandates have nothing to do with this. Drop the mandates and give people their jobs back already.

A lot more than nurses have fled Canada, anyone with the means is gone. It really is just a leap frog country now.

There are many of them ready and willing to go back to work. Just apologize, pay wages owing and drop the mandate. Simples.

For a world-class health system, Canada needs to think biggerAs anyone working in health care or trying to access health services in this country right now can attest, Canada’s health system is in crisis. The pandemic certainly hasn’t helped matters, but the truth is that Canada’s health system has struggled for decades. Governments at all levels and of all stripes continue to promise fixes, but all they end up doing is pouring too few dollars into a system that doesn’t work for providers or patients. If we want a world-class health system—one that rivals the pride Canadians have in it—then Canada needs to think bigger. Funding is important, and further investments are needed as we deal with rising costs and inflation, an aging population, and decades of underfunding and under resourcing. But we also need to transform how health care is delivered in this country so that it better meets the needs of people across Canada. Canadian health care is built on a 65-year-old foundation that provides public coverage for hospital and physician services. While this approach served Canada well when it had a young, healthy population, Canada’s population is much older now, with the number of people aged 65 and up set to make up 23 per cent of Canada’s population by 2031. There’s the havoc that COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses are wreaking on our health system and peoples’ health, the ongoing mental health and opioid crises, and a worldwide health workforce shortage. To truly tackle the challenges that our health system is facing, governments need to boost investments in health care and health research, but they also need to spend health dollars differently. This requires a shift in mindset and a move towards increased collaboration to deliver better health care for people across Canada. Canada must break down the silos i
