Edmonton Oilers defenceman Duncan Keith won't play Wednesday night against Arizona because of an upper-body injury.

Oilers coach Dave Tippett said Keith will miss the game and is day-to-day with an upper-body injury during media access before the game.Keith was forced out of Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Stars with an upper-body injury.

The team announced he would not return to the game during the second intermission. It’s unclear when or how Keith was injured. Keith skated 10:37 against the Stars, the lowest total ice time among all Oilers defencemen after two periods.The Oilers entered the Stars game already with a battered blue line, with both Darnell Nurse and Slater Koekkoek out multiple weeks with injuries., and avoid posting profanity, personal attacks or harassment.
