ahead of Wednesday's game against Florida Panthers, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.

Frost started the season in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms where he has three goals and 15 points in 16 games. He was among the final cuts the Flyers made during training camp. Philadelphia has been hit hard by injuries lately with Kevin Hayes out week-to-week with an abdominal injury and Derrick Brassard forced to leave Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning with a lower-body injury. Missing two of their centres, Frost would be the ideal player to insert into the lineup if Brassard is unable to play.

The Flyers have also been struggling offensively getting shut out for the third time this season in their loss to the Lightning. Frost said he has been keeping tabs on what has been happening with the team in order to be ready for the moment he name gets called. “Just do your thing down here and keep getting better everyday and find consistency so that it looks good if something does happen up there,” Frost, and avoid posting profanity, personal attacks or harassment.
