The poll also found that a majority of Canadians were confident that the country would be able to meet the government's goal of vaccinating most Canadians by the end of September.

vaccinations ramping up across provinces and territories, a new poll suggests that despite Canadians’ overall confidence in the rollout, many are expressing concern over the type of vaccine available to them.

The data showed that 64 per cent of Canadians thought their decision to get the vaccine would depend on what type of vaccine they were offered, while over eight in 10 stated they should be able to choose which vaccine they received. Most recently, Health Canada announced Tuesday the country’s first case of blood clotting in a person administered the AstraZeneca vaccine. The U.S. has also paused its rollout of the J&J vaccine after six recipients developed a rare disorder involving blood clots.

Health minister accuses Conservatives of trying to create fear after question on AstraZeneca vaccine safety Though as more Canadians continue to feel confident about the country’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout progress, approval ratings for the prime minister and provincial premiers saw boosts as well.

To be vaccinated by end of September, you have to give everyone their first shot by end of next month. Ain't gonna happen.

I would have said yes until recently, but there are increasing reports that there are vaccine doses being thrown away because of the lack of vaccination capacities, hence the government signing more deals to buy additional vaccines. Outrageous, scandalous, and obscene!

If Ontario is not done by the end of June, for first vaccinations, then it is a huge failure.

We already have to wait 4 months for the 2nd shot. This goes against the recommendations of the WHO. Doing this, afterc6cweeks our efficacy rates start to go down. I guess our government thinks they know more than the doctors & scientists.

Feds - yes. Ontario - not with Doug Ford running the circus.

Not fully vaccinated with 2 doses each. Maybe by January 2022.

What year?

They damn well better!

In Winnipeg a lot of people aren't showing up for their appointments 😒

Why are we content with the end of September that is pathetic! Canada needs to do better celliottability CPHO_Canada JustinTrudeau fordnation

Considering it shouldn't be the government's job to make people get vaccinated, it's a good thing they won't meet their goal.

Not in Ontario unless fordnation is removed from handling response. VoteFordOut2022

In the provinces that have other than Conservative Governments, yes. Otherwise no.

I’m 50- still not scheduled and not clear communication by our liar GOV. Lot’s of fraud and cheating by “people “ but no action by stupid government !!! Just fake statistics....

It’s up to the countries that supply us with vaccines , if they continue to hold out will be difficult

Spacing doses 4 months as part & announcing new purchases of vaccines is admitting we don’t have supply. Why are Canadians do gullible?

Not the way Doug Ford and his group of misfits are handling the roll out of vaccinations in Ontario.

Half the western world will be vaccinated by then. What an utter failure by Trudeau and his band of misfits.

Low risk of blood clots aside, isn’t it understandable that people want the one that protects them best? “gee, I’d like less protection please”. In Hungary they can choose from 5 vax, do both doses on time and are 31%/13% covered (1 dose/2 dose) and their case are falling fast

Lol it probably has to do with the excessive coverage of said vaccines... I doubt the polio vaccine received 24 hour news coverage. Everyone and their dog knows about the small Risk now.. it’s information/fear overload

All Canadian media bought and paid for by the Utrudopian cult media -not remotely biased for the Utrudopian Cult said no one ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go global keep the fear alive

Fear mongering is good for ratings.

That's the fault of media outlets like yourself. You sew doubt every day with your click bait journalism.

CBCCanada Sampling is wrong and results are way far away from ground reality.

Juice me up! Just not bleach despite what the Trump-dumpster recommends!

Just take what you can get. Period.

I've had probably 20-50 vaccines in my lifetime, not once did I care to ask who made it.

80% of Canadians support COVID-19 vaccine passports for travel: pollCanadians are largely open to the idea of vaccine passports but support them more for travel than for everyday activities like dining out or going to a concert or shopping mall, the poll showed. Yes I support vaccine passports, because I know the vast majority of minorities aren't going to get vaccinated, and then they'll be descriminated against even more then they already are. It's brilliant , , , Not so fun facing barriers to everyday life is it? It’s what the disabled cope with every single day. Poverty, no work options as minimum wage jobs require to lift 50 lbs, transportation & access to the public restrictions. Who in their right mind supports these communist ideologies?
