Thunderstorms on Friday brought a renewed threat of flooding to parts of Kentucky ravaged by high water a week ago.

“There's a lot of debris that's out there that could cause clogging in waterways that could lead to flooding,” Beshear said at a news conference. Last week's storm in eastern Kentucky sent floodwaters as high as rooftops. In the days afterward, more than 1,300 people were rescued as teams searched in boats and combed debris-clogged creekbanks. Beshear said Friday that two people in Breathitt County remained missing.

Premier Horgan doubts renewing the railway on Vancouver Island is achievableCost of rail service between West Shore and Victoria would be “profound,” says premier When he can't see a 4 lane road through or around goldstream why think he can see rail.. Said it before and I’ll say it again. Hard to believe $110m can be spent on the Johnson St bridge but no money available to fix the rail line. VictoriaBC I like the other ideas for the rail line. It can be used for other things other than trains. The money can be spent better. There federal funding available for alternate forms of transportation.
