Leafs have placed Nic Petan and Martin Marincin on waivers, while Oilers have done the same with Tomas Jurco.

Jason Spezza, Nick Shore and Dmytro Timashov are among the candidates for the other.According to Sportsnet’s Luke Fox, Dmytro Timashov is expected to take Petan’s spot in the Leafs lineup Thursday night against the Vegas Golden Knights. Petan, 24, has played in five games for Toronto this season, recording a single assist.Marincin, 27, has played in seven games for the Leafs so far this season, averaging 11:51 in ice time with a minus-one rating and four penalty minutes.

The 26-year-old Jurco has two assists in the 12 Oilers contests he’s suited up for during the season.
