Liberals revive bill to create watchdog for Canada Border Services Agency | CBC News

An internal agency unit handles complaints from the public, while other bodies, including the courts, the federal privacy commissioner and the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency, examine various concerns.

The new commission would require both the RCMP and the border agency to respond to interim reports from the new watchdog within six months — addressing a long-standing sore point about official delays. The RCMP and border agency also would have to report annually to the public safety minister on progress in implementing commission recommendations.

In addition, there would be race-based data collection and publication to increase knowledge of systemic racism in law enforcement and guide responses.

Listen, learn to live locally, stay out of the big cities to the south of our border. Bad things are happening to good people.

I would love to see immigration Canada to be investigated as well. I see really strange things happening. What is that immigration draw? who is making sure that it is fairly executed? Why is there a draw? If there is a backlog of applications what is the purpose of a draw?

Time to have an agency the public can complain to about government actions and In-actions etc. Voting, ethical transgression reviews and scandal reveals not working. Committees reward committee members which extra pay and accomplish little if anything except grandstanding.

More regulations, more delays.

An 'Independent body' approved by the Liberal/NDP party no less. What could possibly be more fair and balanced? NO ONE BELIEVES IN THIS GOVERNMENT ANYMORE!
