The justice minister said the Liberals put good standards in place and \u0027it is up to the medical profession to ensure those ... are met\u0027

He said any cases of MAID that happen outside of the rules the government has set shouldn’t be taking place at all.

Following the initial passage of the law, the government directed an expert panel to come up with guidelines for how medically assisted dying would work for people with a mental illness. In recent weeks, an association representing the chairs of psychiatry at Canada’s medical schools, warned that doctors are not ready, and other physicians and hospitals have expressed concerns about the expansion.

Lametti said the government is closely monitoring how MAID is being used and this will continue after the expansion. He said they’re looking at ways to improve how the system works.

They building gas chambers yet?

I propose we invite him to try it himself!

This guy wouldn’t recognize a serious moral and ethic catastrophe if it sent him a round of drinks and a room key.

medically assisted - once upon a time Hippocratic Oath. And one of the promises within that oath is 'first, do no harm' 'primum non nocere,' My big boy pants on says it's homicide by state acclamation, think secret service agents on our side but add euthanasia; sounds racist

Another government participated in Eugenics Can you guess which one

He certainly let us see who he is warts and all

If you don’t take MAID he may drive a tank over you

Yes it is the Liberal plan for population reduction because the the covid shots haven't done enough in cdnpoli onpoli

Why would he? They'll get their organs to harvest this way

Lametti, every time he opens his mouth , he outdoes himself. But he’s got JT’s back .

Then he should go first

Liberals are a death cult!

Of course not. He does not seem to much care..

Liberals are monsters.

This is a national and international disgrace

Of course they won’t, liberals love just killing people instead of solving problems

F’ing ridiculous

Another liberal fool! Who on this sacred Canadian soil elected him?shame on you 😡

Should Lametti go back to clerking at the SC where he gets lots of supervision?

Another failed experiment by the Liberlas.

Good for Lametti. Unless we no longer trust doctors we need to move forward.

Because Liberals don't care it's all about their agenda.

We can add “dead” to the list of things this government wants you to be, alongside poor, cold and starving.

Lammy is one corrupt guy. Must be learning from guiltbeault.

The argument that the slippery slope is a fallacy is fatuous because here we are...

Won't be long before we mandate Euthanasia at 80, unless you can demonstrate to a tribunal why you should get another 5 years.

The liberal party couldn't be more disgusting and vile if they tried.

Lametti is another corrupt Liberal doing what the WEF tells him to.

'I am not a criminal': Habs goalie Carey Price speaks against controversial firearms billMontreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price has taken a stance against Ottawa's controversial Bill C-21, which would refine the definition of prohibited assault-style firearms -- drawing the ire of Canadian hunters who say the definition would outlaw weapons used within their practice. Meanwhile, the Liberals have repeatedly stated their intention is not to go after hunters but to restrict certain firearms designed for the 'battlefield.' Gosh, another hockey player with an opinion. Hold the presses! He’s running… if not, piss off… Dear Carey, Justin is not after your hunting rights ...he is after the guns that are used to kill people. Big difference.

Speculation starts about a potential cabinet shuffleWith the House scheduled to adjourn for the Christmas break on Dec. 16, speculation has already started about the possibility of a cabinet shuffle prior to the start of the winter sitting of Parliament at the end of January, say Liberals and senior political strategists. “Any way you cut it, we are moving towards a federal election, whether sooner or later,” said Nik Nanos, chief data scientist for Nanos Research. “And I would expect that the government will regularly refresh the cabinet, as individuals decide not to re-offer or to elevate individuals who might be in ridings that are priority ridings, because elevating someone to cabinet is usually done for a number of reasons. One of the reasons sometimes is to create profile for individuals in key swing ridings in order to help them fight the re-election.” MPs will return for the winter sitting on Jan. 30, 2023. Political insiders interviewed for this article said that if the shuffle takes place in the coming weeks, it would be before the cabinet retreat prior to the start of Parliament. The Liberal caucus is also scheduled to meet for its winter retreat on the Jan. 28 weekend in Ottawa. Since becoming prime minister seven years ago, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (Papineau, Que.) has shuffled his cabinet four times in the month of January, including in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. Over these years, he has had 16 minor and major cabinet shuffles, excluding the first cabinet which he unveiled after becoming prime minister in November 2015. Of these, Trudeau shuffled his cabinet twice in 2016, twice in 2017, three times in 2018, five times in 2019, once in 2020, twice in 2021 and once this year, according to research by the Library of Parliament. According to media reports, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland is in the running for the position of secretary general of NATO. Food delivery robots hit Canadian sidewalks, but many challenges delay mass adoptionThe value proposition for Serve Robotics -- a spinoff of Uber's 2020 food delivery acquisition Postmates that created a fleet of zero-emission robots -- is simple: with slim restaurant margins, a labour crunch and climate change worries 'why move a two-pound burrito in a two-ton car?' But the company faces several roadblocks the path to ubiquity. Is this really a product that somebody wants? I don’t understand why this is a good idea. This is the most creative way of feeding the homeless I’ve seen. I’m gonna guess they get stuck in snow banks or destroyed by trains
