Hundreds of Canadian veterans who fought and survived D-Day are returning to the beaches of Normandy as part of a grim anniversary of the pivotal Second World War battle.

Published Sunday, June 2, 2019 12:20PM EDTSea cadets and naval bands welcomed more than 300 veterans to the port of Dover, England on Sunday, ahead of the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

Though many veterans expect the experience to be an emotional one, they were in high spirits while boarding the ship, some even getting up to dance as a band played. Although he worries younger generations may have forgotten about his fellow soldiers’ sacrifice, his fears don’t extend to his granddaughter.

Will Trump's tumultuous relationship with Europe distract from D-Day commemorations? As U.S. President Donald Trump prepares for a trip to Europe to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day, political pundits are questioning the success of his personality-driven approach to international relations. By tumultuous you mean 3 years of FAKENEWSMSM spreading wild Conspiracy Theory’s and left wing propaganda to its sheeple, right? only if the MSM keeps bringing up the matter Trudeau setting foot in those symbolic places is a disgrace to all who served and died for freedom! Trudeau has more in common with Hitler and radical Islam than he does with anything a free country represents! Day by day Canadians freedom and hard earned $$ is diminished by him.
