Since Nov. 29, there have been two more fatalities reported by RCMP. At the current rate, the death toll will be the highest it has been since 80 people died in 2013. Of the deaths to Nov. 29, 45 were vehicle occupants, while 12 were on motorcycles, five were pedestrians, three were on off-road vehicles and one was riding a bicycle.“It could be a variety of factors,” he said. “Generally, the four causal factors of fatal and serious collisions on our roads are impaired drivers, speeding, distracted driving and not wearing a seatbelt, for which we continue to conduct a significant amount of enforcement every year.
