No really? Maybe because people buy 2 times the groceries because of the war time line ups at grocery stores. Where the hell was leadership with masks 6-8 weeks ago? Oh ya our govt was hiding their inept/bad decisions they made on masks. 16 tons to China and zero manufacturing.

Can you imagine all the overweight people when this is all over, look out weight watchers.

I have not noticed that crowds at grocery stores are bigger than normal days, I guess ppl are cooking at home and using the excuse as a trip out. Even if they don't find what they are looking for, trips should be limited to once/week. FlattenTheCuve ppl. Plz🙏

A society that cooks it's own food is better for it

GROCERY SALES SURGE!!! ....but YOU'RE dumping milk because of lack of demands? The cows have obviously tested positive for Covid19 and you're just not telling us. Cats, dogs, tigers, elephants, bats, birds, have all tested positive - you're dumping milk because of contamination

It will be interesting to see how these employees are treated during their next contract talks.

It doesn't help that NOTHING is on sale anymore!!! Paying ridiculous prices... up to twice as much.... not 'gouging'... just no more 'deals'. My groceries has cost twice as much since all this started....combination of buying more bc we home to eat more, and food costing more!

I’d bet profits have surged as well. Last grocery bill 30% higher than avg. coffee, usually $11-12 per bag, now$17, sugar $.99-1.99 an bag, now $2.49 and the list goes on...

So will waste.

Duh

But, toilet paper sales! 🤣🤣

If 90% of population is at home & restaurants are closed the only place to eat is at home & of course the odd take out. Hopefully grocers and suppliers are finally getting the message and sending more goods to grocers. It’s not rocket science.

What else would you expect, when half of the restaurants are closed and the others can only offer delivery/take-out? So many of us are at home, we can use the hours saved in commuting to actually cook meals. Others are eating in to save money, since incomes have been slashed.

Well thank you Captain Obvious! I hope none of my tax dollars were used for this.

When you stay home all day, you tend to open the fridge more often than usual...

There's a company in North Vancouver doing free grocery delivery

Panic buyers and restaurant eaters.

Man CTV is so smart! I don’t know where I’d be without them...

We are definitely going through more food. With all at home steadily eating breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacking we run low quickly. Trying to keep it to once every 2 weeks. I have noticed items priced higher 🤔........

Well when you don’t spend money on takeout you reroute it to groceries for home.

Like to thank all you selfish A holes out there that are hoarding.

Gee ya think? Thanks to the hoarders!

Canada Sped Up Citizenship For Prof Studying COVID-19 Supply IssuesAdolf Ng, who teaches at the University of Manitoba, applied for citizenship in the fall of 2019. That's great! Though I wonder why can't CitImmCanada administer citizenship tests via video conferencing for other PRs, through an oral exam as opposed to written. At least, people could continue to receive the test and continue on the path towards citizenship. marcomendicino He was a permanent resident of Canada.
