Canada's chief public health officer warned Friday the country is in a period of pandemic transition that might see further waves of COVID-19 cases this year.

"We anticipate that progress will not be linear, and there will likely be more bumps along the way, including resurgence in cases this spring, and likely also in the fall and winter," said Dr. Theresa Tam.

Tam advised Canadians to keep wearing masks and ensure vaccinations are up to date due to the risk of a rise in cases and in light of reduced public health measures. Keeping an eye on wastewater trends can also be a helpful tool for monitoring COVID-19 transmission in communities, Tam said. Tam said that as of Thursday, daily average case counts had increased by 28 per cent nationally, suggesting a resurgence is underway.

How many waves of the flu have there been Get over it

This is our new reality. Adapt! Pivot! Your policies based on Communist China didn't work in a free society. Never have, and never will. They will lead to society being split and an eventual war of violence. Get off this path!

This will be with us forever. It is an amazing disease that the Chinese gov’t has invented. What we need to worry about now, it what else they have got cooking in the lab?

Likely, not likely. Everything is likely, not likely. smdh. Give it up already. People want to live life, not shelter till eternity on every little “wave”.

Do people still care about covid? This is history.

Not using wavelet anymore? Huh

Explain to the public why you and others have decided to let everyone catch COVID?

Grab some kleenex, Vics and some chicken noodle soup and you'll be golden!!!

There will always be another wave. People need to accept that and get on with life. We can live with the flu and the cold. We can treat this largely the same.

Take of your immune system/health. Sleep, fluids, exercise, proper nutrition ( fresh foods / fruits) etc. Stop treating your body like trash can. A shot is not the answer, make an effort to take better care of your health. Replies ignored.

Very moved on people

Save your immmune system and vascular health. Don't get boosted.

So....the impression I got from all of this is no matter what we do we're fucked anyway, so who cares live on with life. Someone help me out here?

Canada identifies as trans now you could say

Why does every 6body in the comments sound like me? Am I in a hug box?

‘Period of transition’ also known as Living life as it should.

I wonder how many 'waves' of the flu we've had since 1918 🤡

🤗 Yep But not doomed yet...🤭

Plz let her shut up.

She's a fuckin communist plant.

Or we just fucking gave up -- most likely that -- but fuck us right

Still milking that cash cow aren’t we ?

Can’t wait for all the comments to come in from the twitter scientists.

Shut up with this scamdemic and let's move on.

Are we locking down again
