A pilot project bringing sunscreen dispensers to Summerside aims to protect people from the summer sun - Unsplash stock photoSUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Free-to-use sunscreen dispensers are coming to Summerside to keep residents and visitors safe while out in the summer sun.
The dispensers will be available at the Summerside Turf Field, Leger Park and the Summerside boardwalk.The pilot project is spearheaded byand medical student siblings, Samuel and Karen Farag, with help from the City of Summerside. Samuel, a Sherbrooke University third-year medical student, said sun-induced skin disorders can be devastating for those affected and their loved ones.“However, the good news is that we are not powerless. It is, therefore, an honor to aid in the fight against this ever-growing problem alongside experienced professionals at the Save Your Skin Foundation in the city I call home.
