Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, fourth from the right, poses for a picture with staff members at Lone Oak Brewpub in Charlottetown on July 22. Contributed - ContributedThe online attack on Lone Oak Pub is not “freedom of speech;” this is pure hate. Just like Twitter pulled the megaphone from Trump's small “would-be dictator” hands, those responsible should be identified and suspended from social media.

The Lone Oak owners simply wish to get their business on track after working hard to open their doors this May. They are truly great models of young P.E.I. entrepreneurs creating jobs — a very good reason for any politician, of any political stripe to visit — just not all at once!

BC Housing CEO retires, citing threats, treatment of homeless in resignation letterShayne Ramsey, the CEO of BC Housing has announced his retirement, citing threats, treatment of homeless, and a loss of confidence as the reasons. Unfortunate situation for him specifically but also he needs to be looking at the entire province not just urban Vancouver. The rules they have in place and their inability to streamline provincial permitting issues is absolutely contributing to the housing problem I’m a senior seriously thinking of retiring outside of BC. Too dangerous now. The homeless population has assaulted, robbed, damaged my car, & threatened me as I was offering housing, employment, &/or clothing. We’re screwed.
