“We likely did not have enough. I think federal governments for decades have been underfunding things like public-health preparedness, and I would say that obviously governments all across the world are in the same exact situation,” Hajdu said. “It is an extremely competitive space right now for personal protective equipment. So the pandemic experts ok’d the 16 tons of protective gear to China bec they thought we have enough and the crown of thorns won’t come to our shores inspite of unabated arrivals of planeloads of people arriving from that part of the world
