Some farmers in the Ontario community balked at the extra restrictions imposed on migrant workers

The Norfolk County farmer at the centre of a COVID-19 outbreak says he spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to protect the community.

“I said right from the beginning, I want to make sure I clear this virus and make sure I’m not bringing it in,” Biddle said. “Everybody was cleared over 25 days ago with no symptoms, and now we have these 125 positive cases that just popped up.” Biddle said he believes that testing of the general population would show many people to be asymptomatic and positive for the virus.

The federal agency that oversees the temporary foreign worker program has also been advised of the outbreak, Terry said.

Unemployment is 10% in this country...maybe the farmer shouldn’t have outsourced the labor in the first place?

What kind of Farmer has $700K? This isn't some mom n pop situation.

For a segment of our economy with long time labour issues they would have been much farther ahead spending that money recruiting and training Canadians and actually working to solve the problem instead of using it as an excuse to import slave labour.

Maybe he should pay a competitive wage and hire Canadians.

Should have hired Canadian's.. millions out of work.

Killing for profit

Or hire local

With race profiling with the virus can be good only for thing that it would shows what race of people are affected most other than that it should not be done EVER because the information could/would be used against that race there goes racism again THAT can't be ALLOWED
