Drug program changes could leave 46K Albertans without coverage starting March

"I did watch the budget. I watched all the news that I guess this was just buried deep because I had no idea." “No other province covers non-seniors through a seniors drug program,” said Steve Buick, press secretary to the health minister. “I really wanted to see the government curtail spending and really try to get Alberta back on track,” said Pittman. “But not by taking and attacking the most vulnerable people in the province."

Perfect Republican solution..

Well at least the oil companies and exec's are still making billions, so no big deal.....

No other province provides spousal/family coverage through the seniors drug program. Besides, didn’t Trudeau promise national pharmacare?

Just like Ford, I wonder if he feels like Santa tooooo

Jason Kenney serving Albertans. 🙄

And you albertans think kenney was the best. Haha think again he is following in fords footsteps. So now you have to suffer with all the cuts that is going to hit hard. This is only the tip of the iceberg people.

Oh look more conservatives trying to kill poor ppl & calling it budget cuts

winning the conservative way...sigh

Nothing like taking money from seniors. Reminds me of villain Snidely Whiplash. This isn't a cartoon & it isn't funny.

Ahhhh, we see Kenney is taking care of his people again, just as you think they are doing good, wham, out comes the con in them, just ask Ford, hes the cons cult leader

lol false

🤮

This is not good. At this time when struggling people need the government to stand by them in this hour of need- the exact opposite is happening. I hope common sense prevails.

Chickens coming home to roost

“Yeah, sure I voted for them. I thought they would hurt OTHER people, not me!”

Action urged to protect women after string of domestic homicides in QuebecLinda Lalonde's death is one of a recent series of alleged domestic homicides in the province that has left advocates hoping they'll be the catalyst needed to spur genuine change. Starts with cops actually making reports when women speak up & courts not forcing victims to co-parent with abusers. We need actual protections keeping victims safe because a piece of paper won't stop him from hurting you if he really wants to. Now Ford cut legal aid for victims 'string of domestic homicides in Quebec?.... Murder of wife is a way out? ?
