St. Louis Blues draft pick from Sweden bringing his high hockey IQ game to the Nickel City

The Sudbury Wolves have announced that Dalibor Dvorský, the 10th overall selection by the St. Louis Blues, in the 2023 NHL draft has committed to the Sudbury Wolves. Dvorský began the 2023-24 season with IK Oskarshamn in the Swedish Hockey League where he played in 10 games this season.

"Dalibor is a world-class player whom we are very excited to add to our hockey club,” said Wolves VP and GM Rob Papineau. “He is a first-class young man, and we look forward to helping him further develop as the star player that went 10th overall in the NHL Draft in June.” Dvorský won a gold medal with Team Slovakia at the 2022 World U18 Division IA Championships and has also represented Slovakia in the past two IIHF World Junior Championships, holding the record as the youngest player to score a goal in the Slovak men's league.

“I am very excited to be joining Sudbury. I can't wait to meet all of my new teammates and coaches and Wolves fans, and to start my new hockey chapter in North America,” said Dvorský on committing to the Wolves. The Wolves are back in action again at home on Friday against the Flint Firebirds. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at GreaterSudbury.ca/tickets or in person at the Sudbury Arena box office.

Movie Review: Scorsese's epic 'Killers of the Flower Moon' is sweeping tale of greed, richly toldThere tends to be lots of fast talking and fast moving in Martin Scorsese films, often from shifty types trying to get away with something. Or sometimes, simply because the master filmmaker has so much to pack in. But in 'Killers of the Flower Moon,' everything seems to slow down, and especially when the camera lands on Lily Gladstone.
