Chicago Fire rallies in front of home crowd for first victory of MLS season

Montreal posted leads of 2-0 and 3-1 and seemed on the verge of securing its 10th point in four road games to start the season before Chicago rallied and Montreal cratered. At the 95th minute, Hugo Cuypers knotted it at 3-3 when he found the high centre of the goal from the left side of the box. Carlos Terán was credited with the assist off a header following a corner.

Staff and Customers at 17-Mile Pub in Sooke Put Out FireStaff and customers at 17-Mile Pub in Sooke are being credited for putting out a fire that started at the popular restaurant. Owner Ken Whitaker says the flames were from a smoker fire, that started around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday night, and flames could be seen coming from a canopy, that was on an outdoor patio at the pub, located at 5126 Sooke Road. Whitaker says staff, and some customers, worked to put the blaze out, with a fire extinguisher hitting the flames early in the battle. By the time Sooke Fire arrived, the blaze was out, and firefighters did an assessment to make sure everything was safe. Whitaker said there isn’t much damage to the pub, as the flames didn’t actually get to the building. Eric Stepura, who took video of the fire, said the staff were heroic, not only getting people out safely, but then also battling the fire.
