- Canadian airline WestJet Group said on Thursday its load controllers, represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers , ratified the first collective bargaining agreement between the two parties.

The agreement will come into effect on July 1 and will be in place until Dec. 31, 2028, WestJet said.The airline, which is owned by Onex Corp, had reached a tentative agreement with the union earlier this month.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
