Did they say anything about moronic regulations which suck working capital out of the industry and enhance the probability that old wells will not be properly abandoned and rehabilitated? Thanks for sleeping through the case, SCC. Well done. cdnpoli

'Financial analysts said the ruling would likely make banks more hesitant to lend money to oil and gas companies with large environmental remediation liabilities.' Sounds like a very poor lending practice anyway.

How about those “rules” that allow them to walk away from paying their pension obligations

Supreme Court to rule on whether energy companies can abandon old wellsThe Supreme Court of Canada is set to rule today on whether energy companies can walk away from unprofitable wells on agricultural land without having to clean up behind them. I don't even really know what this is about but if a 'wrong' choice exists, I'm sure the Supreme Court will make it because they're morons. Really, it should be obvious.

Ian Mulgrew: Dix loses another round to private clinics, accused of ignoring court order‘The chambers judge was satisfied on the evidence before her that at least some patients are at increased risk of suffering physical and psychological harm by reason of having to wait for pub… NDP has spent $ in court to deny patients a choice that is theirs to make. Stubborn, politically driven ideology. Another reason to rid BC people of this gov’t. Hoping and to a quick end of Dix,Horgan and all NDP. Health care, business and speculation tax. They can all be blamed! The reality is we need to have a private option in Canada keep the public system but let people get insurance or pay cash for health care Another example of a wrong done by the BC Liberals that is too embedded to fix. Private puts pressure on an already over stressed public. Your cushy private is not open or capable of looking after you if something goes wrong.

I'm Not 'Lucky' Because My Husband Cooks And CleansThe word I tend to hear when I let it slip that my husband makes homemade cinnamon rolls or stows his own socks in his drawers is “lucky.” What a great article. I feel the same, 'I'm not lucky, I'm equal.' We teach people how to treat us. As women, mothers, grandmothers, friends it's important to treat and teach each other equally. It starts in the home, the actions, the responsibilities. Thanks for sharing. Society still very much lauds men for doing things that are just expected of women. I never get complimented in the grocery store for being “sweet” to my 8 month old but you should see the praise heaped on my husband, mostly by older women. And then I get told I’m lucky! The male created and female re-enforced notion that having kids on this dying planet is a good thing, must stop. Men use religion hidden in politics and call it culture to control women and that is evil. Women must rise up and fight.
