Anti-Black racism protesters take a knee outside Toronto courthouse

Jay Smith, who attended the demonstration with his young son, said he wants to see police reform and more transparency as a result of the protests. A separate group of hundreds of protesters took a knee with their fists held in the air in Trinity Bellwoods Park, to the west of Toronto’s downtown, and planned to march to the Ontario legislature.“We can’t let go of this energy,” he said. “They are our future. They’ve been watching us. They’ve seen things that they haven’t liked. All of this incremental change, there has to be big change…We’ve got to get it right.

In St. John’s, N.L., VOCM radio reported that a crowd of several thousand people gathered for a Black Lives Matter Rally at Confederation Building during the afternoon.Video of the event showed the crowd gathered in front of the legislature and on steps leading up to the building, as they chanted “Black lives matter,” to the beat of three drummers.

Is this a joke? Canada has a history of genocide against indigenous/aboriginal people. And just recently racism against Chinese/Asians has spiked. And they r now holier than thou?! And against anti black racism? Laughable

Active participation in lifestyle will do more than protesting and rioting. Wanna be seen as equal to whatever and whoever than act equal! Follow laws. Don’t run from police. The riots and looting is creating a separation of trust taking us back 100 years. BlackLivesMatter

Yes, BLM! I couldn't breath since Sept, 2018 in the condo building of 160 Vanderhoof Ave, Toronto. I absolutely believe Prime minister Trudeau yesterday said that the Canada exist social system race discriminations. White supremacy, racism already existed in the condo for long.

I was in uniform at a protest today. Did I get called pig? yes. Did I get flipped-off? Yes. Was I mad? No. I just felt sad for the protesters.... so many of them were filled with blind hatred & they just wanted to take it out on others.... it didn’t matter who.

Seriously, not trying to incite anyone... but starting to see 'anti-Black racism' now in the Media. Why the distinction? Is racism against one race more evil than any other? Seems the more the Media try to drive a wedge between groups, the farther apart we all become.

The weak are vocal. The silent need to vote and shut this madness down. You can be a decent person who respects all lives without the need for brainwashing.

How sad the stink from the US has crossed the border and permeating our culture.
