Demonstrators plan to march from Parliament Hill through Ottawa streets in mid-afternoon today to honour Black lives lost at the hands of police.
The demonstrations follow days of protests across the United States after a video showed Minneapolis police killing a Black man, George Floyd, unleashing a torrent of anger over persistent racism.A police officer knelt on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes while he pleaded that he couldn’t breathe.The group says its goal is to bring together Black activists and organizations and allies to stand in solidarity against police brutality and societal racism.
The group says it opposes all streaming and the taking of videos or photos of the demonstration to protect the identity and safety of those attending.For their part, the Ottawa police say public safety is a shared responsibility.
So COVID is over? We’re not living in a pandemic anymore?

The black lives lost here in Canada are mostly at the hands of criminals, gangs on the streets of Toronto with illegal guns. Why the hell don’t you protest that or the killing of retired back cop David Dorn?
The train blockades never met with resistance and I suspect this will be free wheeling too- remember the Government has no control over the Police and neither the RCMP or the Government has a leader- think about it

As we strive for an imaginary utopia maybe we should look at our antiquated structures of society that we live in. Our goverence in general hasn' t changed much over time. There are more people, more differences etc. We should look at the way we do things. Imagine.
