On Tuesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the federal government will be approving the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

But a lot of hurdles remain before the project can be completed. National Post columnist Andrew Coyne speaks with the Financial Post’s Larysa Harapyn about what lies ahead.

Every year, the federal government and some provinces pay billions in hand-outs to Canada’s coal, oil and gas companies. Fossil fuel subsidies to producers total $3.3 billion annually, which amounts to paying polluters $19/tonne to pollute.

'The least' being the key part of the sentence.

Geeeee if was Sheer and conservative they would not start build it . Instead of complying with the courts . They would be wasting tax payers money fighting it in court . If they were in power 😳

He bought it to quiet protests in BC to sit on it, and sit on it he will as he’s already counting on court challenges, so can avoid using the Constitutional power he has to build it and preserve votes in BC...

And it’s all he will do. Never be finished on his watch.

Pipeline will never be built under a Liberal Government. Let's not pretend Butt's has actually gone away.
