Michael Crummey is an award-winning author and his last book, 'Sweetland', is now being adapted into a movie, directed by Christian Sparkes and released on May 3, 2024.
“There's a little bit of Ramea in my notion of what's the island of Sweetland would be like. Because Ramea is off the coast of the island. It was a mix of all of those things. A little bit of Francois, and also the geography is very similar to Baccalieu Island off the tip of Conception Bay,” said Crummey.
