A guided forest walk for all with TrailRider mobility devices Everyone can join a guided Welcome Walk with Power to Be at East Sooke Regional Park on Sunday.
Participants in the guided walk will be accompanied by a Capital Regional District parks naturalist informing them about the plants and animals found in the park. The program is free to join but pre-registration is necessary, as space is limited. It runs 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at East Sooke Regional Park.Power To Be is a non-profit organization that believes finances shouldn’t prevent anyone from accessing nature. They work to remove cognitive, physical and social barriers to the outdoors, with the support of staff and volunteers.
Presented by TD, the event is an opportunity to introduce children to new opportunities and for parents to learn more about keeping their kids engaged in healthy activities.
