It started out just being a feeling like, yeah, I got a feeling, let's explore this idea of now making a movie about our father. We never really had a big plan about it.
Let's make a move now and release it in four years or whatever on this date or whatever. It was just a feeling, really, and we found good partners who would accept the idea that we came with it, the family came with it and that we wanted to make it authentic, and that we wanted to make, not a watered-down Hollywood version but a real version that expressed the Jamaican culture properly.
