Zampa is the first Australian to cop a charge since March last year. 9WWOS CWC19

Adam Zampa is the first Australian male cricketer to be reprimanded by the ICC since the ball-tampering scandal, after the spinner allegedly made an audible obscenity during the World Cup win over the West Indies.

Zampa was visibly frustrated after his seventh over went for nine runs, as the West Indies made a forlorn attempt to reach their victory target of 289 at Trent Bridge on Thursday. It's unlikely to have any impact on his availability, given players must accrue four demerit points in 24 months before they collect a suspension point. Two suspension points are then required to impose an automatic ban.
