Brotherhood of St Laurence Executive Director Conny Lenneberg says the current youth unemployment rate is “disturbing”.

Youth unemployment is currently languishing at levels not seen in Australia since the 2008 Global Financial Crisis.

“It’s disturbing that after three decades of prosperity, young people between 15 and 24 are facing a 12 per cent unemployment rate compared to nine per cent just after the GFC,” she told Sky News on Monday. Image: Getty
