For the second time in a fortnight, one Australian lottery player has the chance to have their bank account boosted by $40 million.

The Oz Lotto draw tonight will have the eight-figure jackpot on offer after five straight weeks of players failing to match the game’s seven winning numbers. So far this year just one entry has come away with the top prize, which resulted in a $20 million handout in January.woke up $40 million richer after winning the Powerball jackpotThe entrant, a South Australian, was the sole winning ticket holder in the draw on the night of February 28 with the numbers 7, 5, 13, 4, 2, 14 and 11 with a Powerball of 14.

Being a different lottery draw, however, The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said the entry type that won the most jackpots were marked entry tickets where people had chosen their own numbers. From the 20 Division One wins last year, one-in-five were from marked entries. Despite that, the chance of winning that prize is one in 45,379,620.

Bill Gates is right about poverty, the world really is getting richerA debate about global poverty has been raging since a tweet from one of the world's richest people. It probably looks pretty good from where he sits ... He was talking about the poverty line worldwide if memory serves me right. However the middle is dissolving slowly and the working class is moving towards poverty line in the developed world. Not worth celebrating here. Maybe in the third world.
