Sky News host Alan Jones says “your freedoms count for nothing” as politicians currently have the power and they are going to hang on to it.

He said Australians are now being told “we're entering a summer which is going to be a nightmare". “If you go to the beach you will have to stay a towel's length from the next person,” he said.

“You will be able to go to the pub and drink with your mates, but only if you are sitting down. “They are going to put a stop to the Aussie tradition of crowds at the beaches and you will be told by government to not hang around for too long and avoid the middle of the day.” Mr Jones said “where is the evidence to justify this?” “Your freedoms count for nothing”.

In Victoria, 'nothing serious is going to change' | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says by the Victorian government’s own roadmap, Victoria’s “still got a very, very long way to go.”\n\nVictoria saw a significant drop in new COVID-19 case numbers as 14 new cases were recorded on Sunday. \n\n“Things are getting better, cases are starting to drop,” Mr Murray said. \n\n“But, I hate to break it to you, and I’m sorry to break your heart if you’re in Victoria, \n\n“Even if the 14-day average is somewhere between 30 and 50, which it is going to be, nothing is really going to change for you.\n\n“All that’s going to happen, and all they might announce should this be the case…. the curfew will still be there, most people still have to stay at home and only have four reasons you’re able to leave.\n\n“Nothing serious is going to change.\n\n“Most likely, you do it for another month, and then fingers crossed you get to five cases.\n\n“By their own roadmap, you’ve still got a very, very long way to go.”\n\n“And many more heartbreak hills between now and when things get truly better, when you don’t need a permission slip to walk 5.1 kilometres.”\n Toughen up Princess

At least Victorians are seeing what a 'fascist, left-wing government looks like' | Sky News AustraliaFormer Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger says Victoria, with its lockdowns and restrictions, is “seeing what fascism looks like”.\n\n It comes as the Andrews government is expected to introduce sweeping new powers for public servants, giving them the authority of authorised officers with the ability to indefinitely detain Victorians. \n\nThe bill, which will last until April 2021, gives officers the power to detain people whom they perceive to be a high-risk person (either with COVID-19 or a close contact) and who refuses to comply with health directives.\n\n“You have no freedom of movement after 9 pm now, and between 5 am, so your freedom is restricted,” Mr Kroger told Sky News host Paul Murray.\n\n“Movement is restricted to 5k from your house.\n\n“You’re restricted in who you can visit. You can’t practice your religion. You can only go to funerals in certain numbers.\n\n“People are being arrested in their homes. Pregnant women are arrested in their homes for incitement. You can’t practice free speech.\n\n“And now, you are having people who are not police officers being given the power to arrest people.\n\n“This is a shocking state of affairs in Victoria.\n\n“And now people are seeing what it’s like to have a really fascist left-wing government, and that’s what we have in Victoria, quite frankly.”\n Lol you’re seriously wheeling out Kroger? 😂😂😂 Is it really? Fascists seized power violently in Spain & Italy. Hitler tried that route in Germany, failed & then won an election. All three countries suspended human rights & placed people in arbitrary detention & killed many. Germany killed millions. Dumb comparison.

Donald Trump 'should and will fill the Supreme Court seat before the election' | Sky News AustraliaAdvance Australia Director Liz Storer says US President Donald Trump should fill the seat left vacant by the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the upcoming presidential election, which she believes he will certainly do. \n\nAssociate Justice of the United States Supreme Court Ruth Bader Ginsburg died over the weekend aged 87 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.\n\n President Donald Trump praised the progressive icon upon hearing the news of her death after a campaign rally. \n\nThe vacant seat is set to become a massive political battle, as the President has already indicated he intends to nominate a replacement merely six weeks before the election.\n\nIf President Trump successfully replaced Justice Ginsburg, it would entrench a 6-3 conservative majority.\n\n“I say fill the seat, and I have no doubt that’s exactly what he’s going to do,' Ms Storer told Sky News host Paul Murray\n\n“If for no other reason than, as we know, this election is going to be highly contested no matter who wins, no matter who loses, and we cannot have a supreme court split four-four and go for weeks, maybe months not knowing who’s the leader of the free world. '\n I have to watch Australian news to get the real American news. Thank you for your reporting. Why is Sky News giving a platform to fringe crazies like Liz Storer? auspol
