'You've shattered our hearts': Murdered woman's family in fresh appeal amid new sightings | LucyCormack

Homicide detectives investigating the suspicious death of Sydney woman Nicole Cartwright have narrowed their search to examine whether one of 12 vehicles captured on CCTV was involved in the dumping of her body in a Hunters Hill park this time last year.

On Thursday, her mother Brenda, father Terry and her brother Ben and his wife Jackie attended the police appeal. In a statement on behalf of the family, Ben said they grieved "daily" for Nicole "and the life she never got to live." Investigators have revealed an ongoing line of inquiry into Ms Cartwright's use of online dating applications, classifieds, and social media, all of which she used to meet people on a regular basis.AAP

Ms Cartwright then travelled to the vicinity of Robson Park on Crescent Street, Haberfield, which is her last known movement. The same vision also depicts a man in a suit walking on the footpath about 5.30am, who police would like to speak to.

Man shot dead in Sydney after firing shotgun at two police stationsPolice shoot dead a heavily armed man who opened fire on a home and two police stations in Sydney's west as terrified witnesses film the gunman's final moments on a busy street. Didn't have the balls to use the gun on himself so he forced the police to kill him? My empathy is for the officers who had to deal with that, especially the one who got pellets in the head! Mark Reddie a man does not ‘get a woman pregnant’ poor reporting, passive sexism.
