Sky News host Peta Credlin says “you gotta love Labor’s political hypocrisy when it comes to the sports rorts scandal”.

This comes after a number of Facebook posts from Labor MPs emerged showing certain electorates benefitting from the grants.

“But old mate [Anthony Albanese] wasn’t Robinson Crusoe amongst Labor frontbenchers . All of them happy to take these cheques then and now cry rort after the May election loss,” Ms Credlin said. “This is what voters hate - the hypocrisy, the gameplaying”. Image: News Corp Australia

It's everyday Aussies in those sporting clubs who were the beneficiaries. I propose we have elections every 3 months (regardless of who wins - because they all pork barrel) until every sports club in Australia has a state of the art set up. problem solved!

From the chief of staff who said u tell a lie enough people will believe it

“Gotta Love Credlin’s’” hypocrisy when it comes to telling truths!!

Oh... Albo ... Look at that photo ... full of passion and outrage. Glad that you found your voice...! Once you finish with this topic mate, start saying something that will improve Australia further. So far... ‘crickets’... Politics

The grants to Labor electorates were given on merit. Can't say the same for 73 grants given to LNP seats.

FO

It appears that the only problem with these comparisons is that the majority of sporting clubs most in need of a grant would be expected to exist in lower socio economic areas which is primarily Labor's heartland

SimonWood2259

Fair enough too. Though it’s the 99% that aren’t in any of the corrupted parties that are demanding decent government standards!

Federal ICAC now!

Absolutely, the vic labor government can’t spend enough on Geelong footy ground in the afl because it’s a marginal seat, they absolutely both do it. Laughable to say the alp don’t

The 'Ventriloquists Dummy ' in full voice, by the way when it states' Authorised by Albenese' does that mean somebody else wrote it for the poor soul.

It’s not Labor who’s most upset. Their offender resigned, remember? It’s all the genuine children’s & youth sporting clubs who lost out to phantom cricket clubs, wealthy rowing clubs, numerous gun clubs & trumped up wedding venues. Credlin is as moronic as two Pauline Hanson’s.

Is it hypocrisy, didn't you study journalism. Didn't you believe in the truth, the passion for the honest story. You that wrote this should resign. For your own integrity. Please stop being a propaganda mouth piece. You're better than this.

She couldn’t have been any more wrong and couldn’t have looked any more petty. But what do you expect from Rupert’s Robot. Scripted and read word for word.

State Labor bank rolled a $23 mil redevelopment of a basketball stadium in regional Victoria in 2018 which has poker machines & alcohol available not a good look for the youth in Dan’s nanny state.

You gotta love Peta's attempt at making a living..... Fail

It's not credible that if Labor had commited the rort that Peta would be saying the same thing. THAT'S hypocrisy.

Um... when Labor ministers are caught doing far less they resign. With the LNP it’s rort after rort and no one loses their job. That’s the different Cretin.

Well one did resign. Lnp have so many scandals, you'd be lucky to field a team if they all resigned.

Big difference Ros Kelly resigned.

Deny Delay Deflect BoycottMurdoch

All parties are as guilty as each other especially when changing leadership.

Nice try but this is a Coalition scandal.

Beat the drum, lie like a pig in sht, but then Credlin is a mouthpiece for the LNP and speaks anti-Labor but not the truth. Average for Sky News. Hypocrisy is their standard, epithets 101 term for anything. Propaganda runs like that: say a lie enough times and it becomes true

This just in: Irrelevant deflection tactics come in to play. More at 9.

This from the no conviction recorded DUI offence.

This thread isn't going well for Peta.🤣. What a piss poor example of whataboutism 🙄

Cant wait to see the election TV ads. A pony club owner being passed a suitcase full of cash. Hes on the moby thanking Scott from inside the pony barn, in which a chandelier is being installed. Next, young girls changing in the car after soccer.

Yes Peta....we wouldnt want hypocrisy, so I guess morrison & most of his MPs will have to resign.

Oh thats right....back in 1993, 27 years ago Labor had a very minor sport rort scandal. Credlin is holding on too tight.

At least their leaders dont jump in the sack with political secretaries

Please vote for me My hobbies are dogs and beer and not necessarily in that order. Ay?ay?

Accountability shouldn't be sought? Hmm

Whether it is Labor hypocrisy or not does not hide the fact that the sports Rory scandal is not acceptable. In the same way trying to hide behind all those who got funding were eligible is not acceptable. There should be consequences for any party that abuses the people’s trust.

You gotta love Peta credlin. The experts expert

Oh dear. We’ve all done it once in our lives, but we’ve also been required to fall on our swords when caught...

Yeah terrible isn't it

Go away Tony Abbots love child. If it had of been Labor you would of been wetting your pants Murdochspuppet

You gotta love the Liberal Party and Nationals rorting tax payers - don't try and pass the buck Ms Crone Cretin, Labor minister had resigned -

Like when Ros Kelly did a similar thing, stepped down immediately and eventually resigned?

Ok then, let’s see you hold em all to account then. Nonpartisan commentary, real journalist like. sportsrorts SportsRortsII FederalICAC corruption

You gotta love Peta Credlin’s hypocrisy. Full Stop.

This is what you get when you have people working in the media who are not independent & objective. Which political party it is that has done a wrong is irrelevant. What's relevant is that a wrong has been done & we the people deserve better. Stand up for what is right!

Peta who?

thats not what she said at all, she actually said it leads back to the PM office and shes as guilty as he is and stated this very clearly...

Peta who?
