'You don't save money moving house': ABC boss resists call to move out of its inner-city offices

that selling the Ultimo premises and building new offices would be a "multi-year project" that would cost "hundreds of millions" of dollars. He said the broadcaster had reviewed its property holdings, including the Ultimo site that is the portfolio's most valuable, and the sale of some of the real estate assets could be a consideration in future but he had not been approached by developers.

"That has become a whole hub for that city and it showed the national broadcaster was not focused on the inner city," Mr Borger said. "Rents would probably be half what they are in inner-city Sydney. It would be great to have media jobs in western Sydney," Mr Borger said.

Good on David Anderson. What a stupid suggestion from Federal Communications Minister Paul Fletcher whose trying to hide his little game to slowly dismantle the ABC, consistent with the wishes of the IPA.

When everybody else pays for your accommodation and housing costs you should shut up and move to Thirroul. What part of 'the internet allows remote work from home' did you miss in the last 2 decades?

Of course not. They love being up there in their ivory tower.

You would if you move to Dubbo.

Don’t move Powerhouse museum, move ABC to where working Australians live.......privileged bedwetters need reality check!
