Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins quits, to be replaced by 15-year-old Tsehay Hawkins

The Wiggles will have a new member in the yellow skivvy next year, with Emma Watkins confirming she is stepping away from the role.She will be replaced by teen Tsehay Hawkins, who joined in 2020The first female Wiggle has confirmed she will leave the band at the end of the year to spend more time with family and focus on her post-doctorate studies.Watkins said the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with touring, meant she missed being home with her family.

"For me, that means spending more time at home, something that I didn't realise I was missing out on being away eight months of the year on tour. "I am eternally grateful to The Wiggles for giving me this amazing opportunity to be the first female Wiggle, a role that I have loved and has given me so much joy and an abundance of 'bowtiful' memories that I will treasure forever," she said."We've had an amazing time with Emma over this period and while we're sad to see her go, we know she has many other passions she'd like to pursue,' he said.

Watching the new show with our kids a couple weeks ago, we had no idea how young Tsehay is. Wow. Good luck to her. She's a great dancer. I hope the Wiggles schedule isn't too much at 15.

That 11 years went quick. I hope she continues her musical career. She was great for the Wiggles. Don't have kids myself. But just take interest to see hiw they're going!
