Australia faring better on COVID-19 than around the world | Sky News AustraliaDespite the COVID-19 focus being on America and the politics surrounding President Trump, Europe has in fact fared much worse than the US and Australia says Sky News host Chris Kenny. \n\n“There's a huge focus on the US, which has the highest total death toll in the world, more than 130,000 people, and where the outlook is bleak,” Mr Kenny said. \n\nLooking at the data surrounding death rates in differing countries and Australia’s situation, he said “if we had Canada's death rate we would have more than 5500 deaths already”. \n\n“If we'd matched the disaster of the US we'd have almost double that, almost 10,000 deaths by far”. \n\nMr Kenny said if we compared to the UK, Australia would have lost more than 16,000 people and over 21,000 compared to Belgium. \n\nImage: AP realDonaldTrump So what you fu-King sociopaths! realDonaldTrump “Europe has in fact fared much worse than the US and Australia.” This sentence makes no sense. Hong Kong ruled by a 'climate of fear' | Sky News AustraliaCNN reporter Kristie Lu Stout says Hong Kong is possessed by a “climate of fear” after China imposed sweeping new national security laws. \n\nNearly 400 Hong Kong residents were arrested by police for protesting controversial new laws which criminalise secession, subversion of state power, terrorism and conspiring with foreign powers.\n\nPeople found breaking the laws could face a lifetime in prison and applied to everyone, including people who were not permanent Hong Kong residents. \n\nMs Stout told Sky News Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Carrie Lam described the laws as “designed not to punish but to deter people from committing serious crimes”.\n\n“It’s doing just that,” Ms Stout said. \n\n“It’s creating a chilling effect and its really preventing a lot of people who would normally protest last year… from going out.\n\n“We’re seeing this drawback in support in the virtual world – we’re also seeing it in the real world.” \n\nImage: AP I can't help thinking this is a mistake for China. If a lot of Hong Kong's population ups and leaves they'll take a lot of capital and acumen with them. China would be better off sticking to the 2 systems arrangements it committed to. CNN ? Oh - the Communist News Network 1-2,Naive Australian journalists and politicians, if you continue ignoring the facts about CCP, you will be the primary targets of this devil.
