An ex-checkout worker has shared the easy way to make sure you don’t end up with squished bread when buying groceries.

who now works as the supermarket company’s content co-ordinator on TikTok, to share how to properly pack your bags in a new video.

In the comments some labelled the advice “common sense”, but others were grateful for the explanation.“Well some people need to learn that,” another commented. “My sandwiches are always squished.”

Usually it's the checkout staff doing the squishing. Putting 2litre milk in same bag as bread etc. 🙄 Hence why I do self check out.

Wow, and the the News Headline’ for today. I’m still working out putting my bread in first, and potatoes apples and oranges on top. Wish I had got that news sooner.

After more than 40 years grocery shopping I know how to pack my groceries. As long as they make sure to show the tips to the checkout operators who actually pack most of the bags, some don't have a clue.

Note: If you need help on how to not “squish” your bread at the supermarket, you’re not likely to be reading the “news”.

I always insist the bread 🍞 to be on top
