A woman has been charged with stealing more than $1 million from the restaurant where she worked in the Queensland resort town of Noosa.

Detectives arrested the 41-year-old woman on Friday, charging her with one count of stealing as a servant following a two-year investigation. Police allege the woman stole sums of money from the Hastings Street restaurant over a period spanning from 2013 to 2017.The woman, from Noosaville, will appear in the Noosa Magistrates Court on August 6.
