A 28-year-old woman has been charged with grievous bodily harm after she presented to the emergency department with an unconscious three-week-old baby girl. 9News

The 28-year-old and another woman arrived at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with the three-week-old baby girl on March 22.

The infant was taken to the Queensland Children's Hospital, where she remains with life-threatening injuries. The woman appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Saturday and was granted bail ahead of her next appearance on July 3."Detectives are piecing together a timeline of events and are seeking the assistance from the public to help fully understand the circumstances of what happened," a police spokesperson said.
