A woman who allegedly crashed into a home and killed the occupant before absconding from the scene with her baby in Sydney’s west has been arrested.
“Just after 5.20am on Saturday, emergency services were called to a home on Monfarville Street, St Marys, after reports a car had crashed into it,” NSW Police said in a statement. An occupant of the home – a 62-year-old woman – was treated by police and paramedics but died at the scene.The car’s 29-year-old driver was arrested nearby after she allegedly ran from the scene with her baby, police said.The home is now a crime scene, with specialists from the Crash Investigation Unit set to investigate.
