The widow of former Rebels boss Nick Martin has sued the hitman and the state for damages after witnessing the assassination of her husband in 2020.
The family of the former head of the notorious bikie gang are reportedly relying on a section of the Fatal Accidents Act 1959 which opens up claims of liability for a death caused by a wrongful act or negligence. The writ also claimed the Western Australian government was the registered proprietor of the Kwinana Motorplex, with the licensee of the venue also being taken to court."I'm very much looking forward to getting a briefing in terms of what the statement of claims may be,” he said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Shortly after the assassination, the state issued a whopping $1 million reward for anyone with information which would lead to the arrest of the shooter.
