Australian unions are launching a campaign for paid menstrual and menopausal leave, but they're already experiencing pushback.

The needs of women in the workplace are often not adequately met, said Linda Revil, a coordinator at the UWU.

"Menstrual and menopausal leave are crucial for working women’s rights, which too often go unnoticed." Lauren Anthes, CEO at Women's Health Matters, believes policies should include other areas of reproductive health such as fertility treatment, miscarriage and abortion. "We think good reproductive health policies promote gender equality. They're giving social and economic value to invisible gendered demands on reproduction and reproductive health.""For things like fertility, whether it's preservation or IVF, what people often don't realise is the amount of time it takes to actually make that happen," she said.

Well done ALP. How to make women unemployable.

It already exists.

Of course they are they eant men who think there women to have leave to bleed from there penis. Do you see the pathetic stupidity in that... WATCH DIED SUDDENLY DOCUMENTARY OUR GOVERNMENT ARE INVOLVED IN WORLD WIDE GENOCIDE AND ARE BEING PAID TO DO SO..

WATCH DIED SUDDENLY DOCUMENTARY OUR GOVERNMENT ARE INVOLVED IN WORLD WIDE GENOCIDE AND ARE BEING PAID TO DO SO..

So... Does that mean that men will get prostate issue leave so that it's not sexist

🤣🤣🤣

Why do this generation of women struggle with periods and day to day duty. Pull your socks up ladies. Generations have managed it without UNIONS using us for relevance.

I think the issue here is that there are just so many recurring pain issues for all kinds of things that people suffer from - both physical and mental. Cherry picking one that just suits women is going to cause issues. Either raise the number of days for EVERYONE or can it.

It’s getting impossible to run a small business in this country.

Cold wallets. Problem solved. Hmm, hard to feel to much sympathy.. Apologies to those of whom have lost savings, but in saying that not 1 cent of savings should have ever been punted on crypto... Let me say that, based on previous experience and observations, in this situation, the investors will end up with nothing, and all recovered funds will either end up with the banks or administrators. I feel for the investors, but I doubt they will see 1 cent back.

How two Australian soldiers became unwitting poster boys for Russia's mercenariesOn a spring day in 2013, two Australian soldiers had their photograph taken in Afghanistan. Now the photo has resurfaced in a scheme to recruit mercenaries for Russia's invasion of Ukraine — all without the soldiers' knowledge. Western military forces propaganda photo used as Russian military forces propaganda photo. Nobody is expecting any honesty anymore. Bloody Russians. They can't even use their own BS to reel in low life mercenaries. The Wagner Group? Named after a German classical music composer admired by Adolf Hitler. Orchestrated, supported and financed by Putin's personnel crap chef? Does it get any worse? Russia? That terrorist state as declared recently by a number of countries around the world? That one is doing this? Shocked I tells you, shocked.
