Why the Panthers deserve Fifita; Eels bosses to blame... not Arthur: McKinnon

They’ve provided the NRL with countless stars, namely Viliame Kikau, Stephen Crichton, Matt Burton, but now they deserve to land a marquee man of their own. So it’d be great to see Fifita partner with the club’s next-in-line No.6, with young gun Jack Cole the frontrunner for that slot as it stands. Paying $850,000 for a player of his calibre is a great deal, and it’d be remiss of the Roosters not to throw their name in the hat.

It’s ridiculous to consider moving him on and would expose the fact Parramatta bosses don’t have the runs on the board to make that drastic a decision. I highly doubt the Eels coach would have allowed Reed Mahoney and Isaiah Papali’i to walk willingly. I also question if he gave the green light to signings like Josh Hodgson.

In my opinion, Arthur is coaching well above what should be expected of him. Different clubs have different methods of doing things. So the next step forward for Parramatta could an independent external review of senior management if the club wants to turn their fortunes around.Adam Reynolds is a horror injury for the Broncos and he’s clearly one of the NRL’s best playmakers.
