'Community transmission' are the two of the most dreaded words in Australia right now. But what does it actually mean and can we get a handle on it?

New South Wales has had most cases of community transmission since January 22, with Victoria in second place.According to the World Health Organisation , Australia's current cases are "clustered in time, geographic location and/or by common exposures".But the majority of countries have what the WHO classifies as "larger outbreaks of local transmission" which means a large number of cases cannot be linked to known virus chains.

The Department of Health says most of the new infections have been linked to known clusters found in extended families, at a supermarket warehouse and a high school. Professor Mary-Louise McLaws, an epidemiologist who helps advise the WHO, says she is "delighted" by Victoria's testing regime and the "ring fencing" of hot spots is the best course of action to stop the spread. It's all about a lack of control. When you look at what has happened internationally, in those areas where control has been lost, case numbers skyrocket and it's hard to catch up.

"Young people especially could just be passing it among themselves for long periods of time but eventually, of course, it's going to get out and it could get to others in the community who are more at risk," Professor Fitzgerald said."When you don't know who's spreading the disease that's when you need to go out and you need to test as many people as possible, which is what's happening right now in Melbourne " Dr Vally said.

Protect the vulnerable - that's all anyone can do. Everything else is BS to keep you panicked and controlled

Community transmission means that the virus is getting beyond the reach of contact tracing. Time to ‘go hard and go early’, even though it is getting pretty late in the day. Lockdown Melbourne now or lockdown Australia again soon! COVID19Vic COVID19Aus

Look at your notes from late Feb March and April- you have changed your narrative again!!!!! You promoted lockdown to diminish the impact to hospitals and ICUs- there has been no impact- open everything and deal with clusters- we have to live with CV19

Let's don't forget, it's ' certain community '

NEXTSHARK has an issue with me and want to 'out'me in their website,my answer is:BITE ME! and given a chance you won't only bite me but will eat me,too.LEAVE THE DOGS ALONE,LEAVE THE CATS ALONE,LEAVE THE ANIMALS ALONE!!!BIG SICKOS!!!

Meanwhile the Chinese people are enjoying a feast of grilled&barbecued dogs this week as the sick, disgusting dog-eating festival takes place because there's no one in power with enough morals and basic human decency to stop these sickos from torturing and abusing dogs. And if

So EUROPE is banning Americans, brazilians& others but not CHINA,the country that started the global mess! When will the U.S.,BRAZIL&other countries sue CHINS for billions of dollars&give the money to the people who have suffered the most? Why aren't there any consequences to CHINA?

Geez...enough with the plandemic scare scam! Sooner or later you just have to accept the fact covid19 is highly transmissible and given the lethality is very low, just allow the virus to 'burn out' through the community instead of obsessing about containing it, a futile effort.

Gee. What could have possibly give down in Melbourne recently that could have caused these community transmissions? Duh.

An interesting read. Thank you
